Aquamarine has historically been used a symbol for youth and happiness due to its colour, which has also, along with its name, made Western culture connect it with the ocean. For example, ancient Romans believed that aquamarine could protect people who are travelling across the sea; they also used aquamarine to prevent illnesses. 🌊
There is a story behind our new gem:
It all began before Christmas when a loyal customer reached out to us with a special request. He wanted to surprise his wife, who adored the tranquil beauty of teal, with a custom lunchbox. Determined to fulfill his request, we embarked on a mission to find the perfect shade of teal—a hue that would capture the essence of customer's love for his wife.
After looking through different palettes, we finally found the exact shade of teal that spoke to our hearts. With excitement and anticipation, we placed the order for painting the custom lunchbox, eagerly awaiting its arrival.
When the day finally came and we received the finished product from the paint shop, we were mesmerized. In that moment, we knew we had created something truly special.
As we admired the beauty of the custom lunchbox, a spark of inspiration ignited within our team. We realized that this shade of teal was more than just a color—it was a gem, a treasure to be cherished and shared with the world. We had already planned to bring gems back, and this new hue will fit perfectly.
The name for this gem came to us effortlessly. Aquamarine—a name that evokes visions of tranquil seas and endless possibilities.
And so, we proudly present to you Aquamarine: the newest gem in the L. May collection. May it serve as a reminder of the love, inspiration, and creativity that lie at the heart of everything we do.
